Hi everyone – I am very delighted to be a part of the DataCite team! I joined DataCite in early July 2023 as the Operations & HR Manager. I am excited for this new opportunity and to be able to collaborate with such a great team of people.
My responsibilities in this role will include supporting the daily operations of the organization as well as creating and maintaining HR policies and procedures. Some projects I will work on include analyzing current staff onboarding processes, creating new policies and procedures, and assisting with new training and development programs— one of which includes a new DEI Program.
Growing up, I quickly realized my passion for people. I would volunteer at the hospital and the local elementary school and loved to help out in any way I was needed. From there, I realized how important it was to me to have a career that I could help make a difference in my workplace and be the person that people could depend on. I decided to move to Richmond, VA in 2017 to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a focus in Human Resource Management. I quickly would learn what a difference I could make no matter where I was.
I briefly worked in the HR department in the consulting industry then moved to the banking industry, and back to consulting. Now, I am excited to explore the research community. I am bringing in a plethora of knowledge and experience with me on this new journey and am ready to grow with this new team!
When I am not working, you can find me binge watching the newest reality TV dramas with my dogs, traveling, or spending time with my family. I am looking forward to all the new opportunities that DataCite has to bring!
