DataCite Connect Costa Rica 2024 (#DataCiteConnect24)
November 11, 2024 @ 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm CST

The DataCite Connect event in Costa Rica provides a forum for discussion and networking for the RDA community. The session will discuss how persistent identifiers (PIDs) can be implemented to improve research data management, with a special focus on the FAIR principles and metadata best practices. Participants will learn about DataCite infrastructure, regional use cases from the Latin American community and about different repository systems that support PID and metadata integrations to comply with the FAIR principles. The session will include break-out groups and there will be plenty of time for Q&A and networking.
This is an in-person event that will not be recorded. Slides will be made available afterwards. Make sure to use the hashtag #DataCiteConnect24 when sharing your experience on socials.
For more information, please read the wrap-up blog post of the event.
